My Top 10 Fave Fashion Influencers

Hiya there,

I hope you are feeling super fabulous and inspired by new colours and styles of clothing as the summer months begin to draw to a close and autumn slowly arises. I wanted to introduce you to some of my all time favourite Fashion Influencers which I discovered on their very active Instagram accounts and who provide me daily with inspiration. I decided to narrow it down to 10 of my absolute faves (which was such a struggle ūüė¶ ) otherwise this post would continue forever, and so, because of that I haven’t been able to mention as many people as I’d wished to. So, without further ado, here they are:

1) MEGAN ELLABY  @meganellaby

This beautiful, stylish Mancunian has inspired me with her use of bold colours and patterns, making everyday wear exciting and new as she keeps on trend with cool yet sophisticated looks, collaborating frequently with large labels such as Topshop and H&M.

2) KATIE WESTWOOD  @katie_westwood

This Russian model and quickly growing Instagram star is best known for her strong use of bold and striking colours which feature in her clothing and ever changing hair colour. I find myself inspired by her courage in exploring fashion through her carefully colour coded outfits, incorporating lots of my absolute fave pattern: checks.

3) JESSICA ANNE WOODLEY @jessicaannewoodley

Founder of Rose Collective (@wearerosecollective¬†) – a unique and stylish, up and coming clothesline (checks? Yes yes yes yessssss) – this cutie’s style is a whirlwind of bright, bold colours, classic patterns and cuts and sportswear (she loves a good pair of trainers) and she can be seen collaborating with Puma and Boohoo. Oh and you might just remember her from E4’s Made In Chelsea.

4) LINDA @lindafromtinder

Linda from Tinder?? Mixing lots and lots of bright colours with checks (yes, you’re probably starting to see a theme here hehe), this rising Instagram star stands out from the crowd with her confidence and unique style, with frequent posts on her Instagram page of her daily outfits.

5) MARIA PAMELA @pameluft

‘Queen of primary colors and melancholic color palettes’ writes Pamela as she describes her style, and I must say, I agree. Her dress sense is simple yet effective just like her Instagram page which has gained 236k and continues to grow steadily as people fall in love with her aesthetically pleasing style and page.

6) ALEXA CHUNG @alexachung

Now, you may well have heard of Alexa and her stunning wardrobe (*drools*) which has won her not only one but three British Style Icon awards at the British Fashion Awards, which is hardly a surprise. With her eyes set firmly on the future of fashion, Alexa always manages to stay one step ahead of the latest trends.

7) GIORGIA BOTTINI  @jorjapins

Describing herself as an ‘Italian “Trash” Cheap Princess’, this rising Instagram fashion influencer likes to mix it up, turning “trashy” into “flashy” with her daring and bold outfits which she posts about pretty much daily, at times posing in front of trashcans and heavily graffitied walls.

8) TAYLOR LASHAE @taylorlashae

This gorgeous Texas born, French – Colombian Fashion Influencer (and part model) can be found stunning us all with her chic wardrobe and perfect hair (Q. How are her bangs SO perfect?? A. Apparently her secret is simply drying them with a beret. Yep, she obviously likes keeping in touch with her French roots). Apart from her perfectly flawless face and body (but of course no one’s perfect…..right?), Taylor showcases herself through her love of Vintage French fashion which can be seen on her Instagram page (which I am in love with btw).

9) OANH @oanhdaqueen

Rocking both that classic cute, girlie look and a cool, quirky style, the Vietnamese Influencer frequently flaunts her charity shop finds and recent buys on her Instagram page. With over 134k followers, Oanh is on the rise to reach even more Instagram fame as people continue to drool over her outfits.

10) CHLOE BELL @chloesbell

Finally, last but not least is Chloe Bell: a promising Fashion Influencer and model with a bright future in the Fashion Industry. Her day to day looks consist of a mixture of patterns (including checks and leopard print ‘yay!’) with flashes of bright colours, blending together Urban Outfitters and Dollskill with a touch of ‘Bell’.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and I’ll be back again soon to share more.

Let me know who was your fave and don’t forget to check out their Instagram sites!

Bye bye now,

Hello, It’s me

Hey there kiddos,

I’m Cordelia (or if you prefer, Cordelilala) and as you can probably see, I’m new to this whole blogging business (so be kind, k?). I’m here to talk about my interest in fashion, especially styling and fashion journalism, and just about anything I feel like sharing with anyone who takes the time to read this.

So firstly, you may want to know a little bit about me. I’m Cordelia (yep, just like the girl in Shakespeare’s famous play ‘King Lear’) and I’m a student with a passion for fashion (It rhymes!). I adore bright, bold colours and think they stand as a large part of the future of fashion as well as vintage clothing which, of course, is a classic.

‘Have you always been interested in fashion?’ you may ask, and the truth is, I haven’t. In fact for a large part of my life my fashion sense or ‘style’ (if you could even call it that) was pretty bad… Or maybe a better word would be boring. Both really. Anyhow, a classic outfit (they hardly varied) from younger Cordelia would be a fading orange zip up hoody (zipped up all the way of course), baggy skinny jeans (ouch), a blue and white striped T-shirt and too large, once upon a time white trainers which stretched out far too long, giving younger me a sort of dull, clownish look. My hair would always be tied back in one simple messy plait and probably the most exciting thing I wore in that period would be my collection of neon socks which I seemed to think would ‘spice up’ any outfit. Oh little me, how sweet you were. Then suddenly things started to change for me when I made my first ‘bold’ step into fashion by getting a gorgeous pair of cherry red, soft leather Doctor Martens which I still treasure dearly. My confidence started to gradually grow and finally I began to experiment more with what I wore. So that’s it I guess, that’s how I became a slightly more interesting version of my childish self.

Heading back into the present, you might recall that I previously mentioned specific areas of fashion that I’m interested in- Fashion Journalism and Fashion Styling. Why? A simple answer is: my passions lie within clothes and the exciting and different ways you can style them and English as it allows you to express yourself freely in so many ways. Both these things excite me and that’s partly why I’m here, so I can explore them.

And that’s it, my first blog post EVER.

Thank you so much if you made it through and I will be back very soon to share more.

Bye bye now,
